Democratic MP Dashnor Sula, known for his friendship with SPAK prosecutors, revealed tonight that the family of the head of the Special Prosecution Office, Altin Dumani, has been threatened.
Sula also revealed that another SPAK prosecutor has been threatened by children living in Germany by organized crime.
"Mr. Dumani said it in the middle of the Laws Committee when he was asked by the majority if he felt any of Sali Berisha's statements. He said zero, because they are political statements, which remain within the political framework. Because there have been zero threats from Berisha or his family. At a time when there has been blackmail from elements of the majority or organized crime directly threatening the head of SPAK, or other SPAK prosecutors. And one whom I know who has also threatened his family. Let's not say the name now, but the prosecutor is very close to Mr. Dumani and organized crime has threatened his children in Germany. In Germany, they have threatened him and this is a very difficult task. Yes, it is very easy to go out in the media and slander SPAK, the prosecutor, the judge who is threatened by a criminal who has millions of euros in wealth," Sula revealed on A2 CNN while commenting on the visit of the head of SPAK to the USA.
Sula also described Dumani as an honest man. He further said that a good number of prosecutors in the SPAK corps are figures of integrity, who perform their duties with devotion and dedication.
"In this country, SPAK has higher integrity, stronger than other institutions in Albania. It is terrible when the opposition, which should be on SPAK's side, calls it a criminal organization. I am telling you from personal experience, a good part of the people I know there are men with integrity, who are not corrupt, prosecutors, 1000 percent. And Altin Dumani, I guarantee, is an extremely honest man and bravo to him for not reacting that we have attacked him in all forms, both from the majority and openly from the opposition. And he still looks to perform his duty and does not deal with them ," said Sula.
