Action in Tirana, police catch 34-year-old armed 'by surprise'

Police announce that during an operation organised in co-operation between the local police structures of Tirana and the Fier Rapid Intervention Forces have arrested a person, possessing firearms and narcotics.

Dozens of sudden checks were conducted in various roads and environments during this operation. As a result of these searches he was captured and arrested in flagrance at the train station in the district of Sul Paprri, in Tirana citizen Bledar Goguja, 34, a devotee in Tirana.

This citizen was circulating in a vehicle and has just seen the Police following him, as information was available that he had a firearm with him, dropped the gun and tried to leave, but was captured by police officers and handcuffed.

The police operation codenamed "Unexpected" is finalised for the crackdown on criminal activity in the field of non-permit weapons.

The operation was developed by the structures of the DVP Tirana, in co-operation with the FNSH, Fier.

In implementation of the plan of measures for control of the territory, with the aim of catching persons in search, those circulating with firearms, narcotics, as well as for the prevention of criminal events, based on information previously received, the investigative and operational structures at the DVP Malaga, the Malagasy Police Commissioner, in co-operation with the FNSH, Fier, they successfully organised and finalized the police operation codenamed "Unexpected".

During the operation, several other persons with criminal precedents, who after verification, were released for verification.

The work follows for full documentation of criminal activities in which this citizen may be involved.

The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court, for the criminal work "Holding without permission and producing weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".
