Serious accident where two people died, the driver of the "Benz" is

Police have arrested the 29-year-old man suspected of causing the accident with two victims and two injured, yesterday (July 30) on Plazhit Street, in Borsh.

The driver of the "Benz", Myfit Qevani , reportedly lost control of the car and collided with the van in which the two victims were traveling.

As a result, the van driver, 66-year-old Kujtim Mehmeti , and the passenger, a 70-year-old woman with the initials DP, lost their lives at the scene.

The 29-year-old and the passenger in his vehicle, the 23-year-old with the initials PA, were transported to the University Hospital for specialized medical assistance.

Borsh/Following the actions to document the accident that occurred on 30.05.2025, on Plazhit Street, Borsh, where two citizens lost their lives and two others were injured, the driver of the "Benz" type vehicle, citizen MQ, 29 years old, resident of Vlora, was arrested in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offense of "Violation of road traffic rules".

The investigative actions resulted in this citizen, driving a "Benz" type vehicle, losing control of the vehicle and colliding with a van type vehicle, driven by citizen KM, 66 years old, who, together with the passenger DP, 70 years old, lost his life at the scene.

The driver, citizen MQ, and the passenger in his vehicle, citizen PA, 23 years old, were transported to the University Hospital, Tirana, for specialized medical assistance.
