A serious traffic accident with a fatality occurred today, around 1:00 PM, at kilometer 7 of the "Ibrahim Rugova" Highway, in the Prizren - Morinë direction.

As reported by the Sinjali newspaper, the accident involved a "VW Tiguan" car with Albanian license plates, driven by Ylli Tali, about 46 years old, and a "Mercedes" truck with Albanian license plates, also driven by Kristal Korbi, about 36 years old, from Albania.

As a result of the collision, Xhensila Xixa, aged around 32, a passenger in the "Tiguan" car, residing in Fushë-Krujë, lost her life at the scene. The attending physician who arrived at the scene confirmed her death.

Meanwhile, the driver of the car, Ylli Tali, and the other passenger, Lavdi Xixa, around 36 years old, were rushed to the Prizren Regional Hospital, where they are receiving emergency treatment.

Kosovo Police units and the acting prosecutor arrived at the scene, who ordered the body to be sent for autopsy to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.

Investigations into the causes of the accident are ongoing.
