Fatal accident in Delvina, the former mayor of Livadhja municipality dies

The vehicle driven by businessman Irodhis Dalani, 61 years old, former Mayor of Livadhja Municipality collided with another vehicle, causing serious injury to Dalani.

After being transported to the Saranda Hospital where he received first aid, Dalani was taken to Ioannina where he could not survive his injuries and died. The police have started investigations into the causes of the incident.

Dalani practiced the activity of cheese production and had gone out early to collect the milk from the farmers.

A serious accident happened this morning, at the place called "Ura e Gajtari", in Delvina, the "Benz" type vehicle driven by the citizen ID, 61 years old, resident of Saranda, collided with the "Volkswagen" type vehicle, with driver, NB citizen, 26 years old, resident of Delvina.

As a result of the accident, both drivers were injured and were sent to the Saranda hospital to receive treatment.

A few hours after the accident, the ID citizen lost his life while being transported to Greece, for more specialized treatment.

Following the procedural actions, the driver of the other vehicle, a citizen of NB, was arrested in the act

The investigative team continues its work to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
