Ajola Xoxa, the wife of Mayor Erion Veliaj, has reacted again to SPAK's accusations against her.

Through a long post on Facebook, Xoxa provides a series of clarifications related to the indictment. While she is accused by the Special Prosecution Office of being the owner of "Harabel Contemporary", she emphasizes that it is not a company, but a non-profit organization. Consequently, Xoxa writes, it has no owners and does not generate profit.

Ajola Xoxa emphasized that Harabel has realized over 113 art activities with the participation of over 625 artists. She adds that for 7 years she has been a member and director of the organization's Board, without pay.

Veliaj's wife emphasizes in her reaction that in 7 years of existence, "Harabel" has never received funds from the Municipality of Tirana and challenges anyone to find a single piece of evidence to the contrary.

"And no, Harabel has NEVER received ANY FUNDS from the Municipality of Tirana!

"You read it well and I take this statement as my own and challenge every public slanderer to produce a single piece of evidence to the contrary. Evidence, not gossip from tables and portals from the file of my accusers, which has frightening proportions of tendentiousness and legal oddities," emphasizes Ajola Xoxa.

Regarding her husband, Erion Veliaj, she says that he has always stayed away from her social-cultural activism.

"Erion has only come to our offices once, yes, only once, and that time he came to bring his son."

"Many may find it surprising why a lawyer, with some education in law, deals with art. This is because my entire family is made up of artists, and when I say the entire family, I mean EVERYTHING. I grew up in this habitat and art is like water to a fish for me. I also did a master's degree at the University of Arts directed by Prof. Vladimir Myrtezaj in 2019-2021, which I followed with surgical precision. Of all the work I have done in my life, and there are many, the artistic work with Harabel is the one I have loved and love the most. It hurts my soul when Harabel's work is tarnished for low political and media reasons, in my soul. Whatever anyone says and tries to belittle our work, this is the truth. It is also a fact that we have done a very great and significant work for the Albanian cultural scene. Those who have followed us know it. "Others will learn when my innocence receives the seal of justice," Xoxa concludes.
