They are people who overthrow from within the criminal empires they once served, but then switch to the side of the law.

What are the sensational events that were revealed thanks to the repentant and the dangerous gangs that were dismantled?

Who are the terrible Albanian murderers who were recruited by justice and turned into protected collaborators?

The show "Inside Story" on TCH brings in this episode unknown stories and exclusive documents that reveal deals that break the mafia code of silence.

Sooner or later, the end of a criminal organization will come. Often, fate is determined from within. Where lawmen have penetrated to find accomplices. Those who break the mafia code of silence. They begin to destroy the world they served. They bring into chains those they once called “brothers.”

"The establishment of the Special Structure for Organized Crime has shown at least some seriousness in all areas of investigation. Be it organized crime or criminal offenses of corruption. This has been a reason why there have been many justice collaborators who have sought agreements with the Special Structure," said Vladimir Mara, SPAK prosecutor.

Turning a criminal into a collaborator of justice is a delicate and complex process. Those who risk more are more likely to become collaborators. To break the silence of a member of organized crime, the prosecutor plays the strongest card: the choice between two worlds. On the one hand, the offer of the state, fewer years in prison, protection for oneself and one's family. On the other, the group's revenge, fear and eternal isolation.

"The justice collaborator has a very important role because entering groups, criminal organizations, terrorist organizations, which are criminal offenses that may require a justice collaborator, have specifics that make it impossible for investigative bodies and justice bodies to enter their internal structures to understand how they function," said Artur Prenga, Deputy/President of the Elbasan Court.

After reaching an agreement, the prosecution and the penitent sign the Act-Agreement. With one signature, the criminal agrees to reveal everything: names, events, orders, and secrets that could sink an entire criminal empire.

"It is actually an important element at the moment of cooperation with the collaborator of justice at the level or role that the collaborator of justice had in a criminal group, or in a criminal organization. I say it is an important element because according to the role that he has played, there is also knowledge regarding the criminal offense committed by the structured criminal group...", said Vladimir Mara, SPAK prosecutor.

"The person who agrees to become a collaborator of justice enters into an agreement with the prosecutor as the authority responsible for cooperation. The Criminal Procedure Code and the law have set a specific deadline during which the collaborator will give his testimony, specifically a 30-day deadline. This was done in order to avoid delaying the cooperation process," said Artur Prenga, Deputy/President of the Elbasan Court.
