One element that raises doubts in the case of Mayor Erion Veliaj, according to lawyer Plarent Ndreca, is the way the file materials were administered.
He raised questions about the preparation of a large volume of documents in a very short time.
"How did they manage to photocopy 60,000 pages in less than 12 hours... we don't understand," Ndreca said on the Breaking show on Top News.
According to him, this situation leaves room for serious doubts:
"Either they knew what decision the court would make in advance, or the entire SPAK secretariat was made available to work together."
Ndreca also spoke about the manner in which the materials were delivered, calling it irregular:
"They went to the cell, without notifying the lawyer, and told him 'take it or leave it or not'."
He emphasized that these actions demonstrate a problematic approach:
"This is not the behavior of an institution that operates according to the rules... but of some individuals who have broken the rules of detention, because they have gone to cells where no one is allowed to enter"
According to him, all these elements create the perception of a rushed process:
"I think at this point, these are indicators of a rush, which is not intended to make this matter right, but is intended to make another statistic and build a victory before the game has even started.
