Democratic deputy, Tritan Shehu in the Health Commission has spoken about the denunciation of his colleague Albana Vokshi. The latter denounced that she received from a citizen that on Friday morning the lights went out for two hours at QSUT and as a result 4 patients died.

But Shehu said that there was no damage to people, while he demanded that the Minister of Health be asked about this issue and the malfunctioning of the emergency department of the Health and Medical Center, saying that the difficult situation was overcome thanks to the help of resuscitation doctors.

"There was an extraordinary situation on Friday in the resuscitation of QSUT and it lasted. The resuscitation doctors made the situation pass without human damage as they refer to me. But the situation has been difficult, and that is true. I have been in contact with colleagues. Thanks to the help of resuscitation doctors, it was difficult. The role of doctors is essential. In Albania, we see that doctors are denigrated, accused, kicked, but this is not the case", said Shehu.

Also, Shehu wants to ask the minister Albana Koçiu why QSUT does not perform emergency surgery

"Why the emergency of QSUT has not started the activity, the ministry had to take immediate measures. It creates disorder, the sick are taken to the sanatorium. I discussed with the leaders of the QSUT and the minister, why the QSUT does not do the surgical emergency, everything is taken to the military hospital. An idiocy. QSUT is the largest center. I know why it was done, to reduce the consumption of sterilization", said Shehu.
