Journalist Sokol Bregu, while talking about the number of Albanians living in the United Arab Emirates, discovered why such a large number of criminals choose to live there.

In a Skype connection for the show "Breaking" with journalist Fiori Dardha on Top News, Bregu said that exponents of organized crime choose to live in Dubai because they are safe from assassinations that could be done to them, unlike what happens in Albania.

"Let's not forget that most of them are not in hiding, they just chose to live there because of the non-conflict. In Albania, an assassination could happen to them, they have a safe life there", said the journalist.

Taking the recent assassination in Dubai as an example, Bregu said that the perpetrators of the businessman's murder were sentenced to death, and such a sentence prevents others from attempting to commit criminal acts.

"The last shooting attack, separates a businessman. The murderers were Chinese and were sentenced to death. There is no joke with the law. It is not only those who are wanted by Albanian justice who live in Dubai. There are other exponents of organized crime who are not wanted, but because of the security and alliances they have, they choose to live in Dubai," said Bregu.

It turns out that the number of Albanians in the United Emirates reaches up to 3 thousand people during the summer. While further in the article it is said that there are 500 Albanian escorts living in Dubai.
