The appeal of the Special Court has left in force the measure for seizing the property of Gëzim Çela, considered a 'drug baron', part of the international traffic of narcotics.

In today's session, GJKKO decided to enforce the sequestration against the company 'Ayla' Shpk, the partner of Gëzim Çela, together with 10 cars, 2 apartments, 1 shop and about 400 thousand euros belonging to Çela's wife.

Gëzim Çela was arrested in Kosovo a short time ago, while his extradition to Albania is now expected, where he will face justice.

Announcement of GJKKO:

"The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a panel composed of judges Daniela Shirka (presiding), Igerta Hysi (member) and Iliriana Olldashi (member), today on 23.04.2024, announced the decision on the criminal case no. 87 act, dated 16.04.2024, registered on the appeal of the citizen M.Th. for Corruption and Organized Crime, regarding the seizure of property according to Law No. 10192, dated 03.12.2009, and decided:

- Approval of decision no. 13, dated 17.03.2024 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, regarding the appellants Company "***" sh.pk and M.Th".

Wealth of Çela's family members and partners:

Çela's ex-wife has had 1 shop and 2 apartments worth over 400,000 euros seized. The seized store in Tirana has a value of 321,120 Euros, while the two apartments are also located in the capital, specifically with values ​​of 40,000 Euros and 42,200 Euros.

Naim Çela, the brother of the 'drug baron', had 2 vehicles seized, a BMW and a Mercedes Benz van. Also, two bank accounts worth 4.7 million lek and 57 thousand euros have been seized.

Gëzim Çela's partner had a commercial company seized with all assets, such as real estate, movable property, bank accounts, etc., including 10 vehicles. It is about the citizen G.GJ, who is part of the Çela group, as well as a relative of Arlind Ismailukaj, a former police officer.

Assets seized:

1. Property of the type "Commercial Unit", with an area of ​​237 m2, owned by the citizen M.Th., located in Tirana, with a sale price of 321,120 Euros (according to the order contract dated 18.02.2008);

2. Property of the type "Apartment", with an area of ​​74 m2, owned by the citizen M.Th., located in Tirana, with a selling price of 42,200 Euros;

3. Property of the "Apartment" type, with a total area of ​​77.2 m2, owned by the citizen M.Th., located in Tirana, with a selling price of 40,000 Euros;

4. BMW X3 3.0D vehicle, owned by the citizen N.Ç.;

5. Van Mercedes Benz vehicle, Type 639, Model Vito 109 CDI, owned by subject N.Ç.;

6. The monetary amount in total of 4 576 585 Lek, in the bank accounts of the citizen N.Ç;

7. The monetary amount in total of 57,219 Euros, namely in the bank account of citizen N.Ç. and confiscated CASH from G.Ç citizens;

8. Subject "X……." sh.pk, with administrator and sole partner citizen G.Gj, all its assets, such as real estate, movable property, bank accounts, etc., including movable property, vehicles as follows:

· Volkswagen Golf, 2015 production;

· BMW, 2011 production;

· Volkswagen, 2006 production;

· Audi, 2007 production;

· BMW, 2004 production;

· Fiat "Doblo", produced in 2014;

· Mercedes Benz, 2010 production;

· Daimler Chrysler, 2007 production;

· Volkswagen Golf, 2009 production;

· Volkswagen Golf Tdi, 2016 production
