Four people have been arrested, 10 others have been declared wanted and several others have been processed at large within the police operation "Focus", for the crackdown on the activity of cultivating cannabis.

In total, a little more than 10,000 cannabis roots were destroyed, while the drug was found planted in rural areas from Tropoja to Thumanë, Lezhë and Shkodër.

Police Notification:

The anti-cannabis police mega-operation coded "FOCUS" follows.

-During this week, controls against the cultivation of narcotic plants were carried out in the highlands of Kruja, in Thumana, in Shkodër district, in Lezhë district and in Tropoja, in difficult mountainous terrains and deep villages.

- In the mega-operation, 4,000 police officers were engaged and 20 high-quality drones were used, for the control of the territory and for the disposal of narcotic plants.

- As a result of the controls, a total of 10,106 cannabis sativa narcotic plants were destroyed.

- As suspected perpetrators of the identified cases, 2 citizens have been arrested, 5 citizens have been declared wanted and 6 citizens have been prosecuted at large, of these 3 village heads and 2 forest inspectors, while 1 citizen has been prosecuted for not reporting a crime.

In the highlands of Kruja and Thumana, as a result of the 37th stage of the anti-cannabis police mega-operation coded "Clean Territory", 6000 cannabis narcotic plants were destroyed that were found cultivated in different areas.

-As a suspected perpetrator of the cultivation of 305 of these plants, citizen AD, 27 years old, was arrested. Also, for this case, the procedure has started for the citizen of RK in a state of freedom, for not reporting a crime.

In the Shkodër region, as a result of the 15th phase of the police mega-operation "Clean Alps", a total of 3312 narcotic plants were destroyed that were found cultivated in various villages of the municipalities of Shkodër, Vau i Dejës and Pukë.

-Si autor i dyshuar i rastit të kultivimit të bimëve narkotike, në fshatin Gjegjan, Pukë, është vënë në pranga shtetasi P. M., 64 vjeç, ndërsa për rastin e kultivimit në fshatin Mnelë e Vogël, Vau i Dejës, u shpall në kërkim shtetasi N. M., 42 vjeç.

Në qarkun Lezhë, në fshatra të ndryshme në Mirditë, Kurbin dhe Lezhë, në kuadër të fazës së 35-të të operacionit policor të koduar “Imazhi” u gjetën të kultivuara dhe u asgjësuan 600 bimë të dyshuara narkotike cannabis sativa.

-Në vijim të veprimeve procedurale për rastet e evidentuara gjatë kësaj faze, u shpallën në kërkim shtetasit:

B. Z., 46 vjeç, K. S., 26 vjeç, K. S., 21 vjeç dhe K. B., 57 vjeç, të gjithë banues në Kurbin, autorë të dyshuar të kultivimit të bimëve narkotike që janë gjetur në fshatrat Vinjoll dhe Gernac, Kurbin.

Gjithashtu, u referuan materialet në Prokurori ku nisi procedimi në gjendje të lirë për shtetasit:

I. B., B. P. dhe L. P., kryetarë të fshatrave Gernac, Vinjoll dhe Krajen;

P. Gj. dhe P. S., inspektorë pyjesh në zonat ku janë gjetur bimë narkotike.

Në zona malore të rrethit të Tropojës, si rezultat i fazës së 9-të të operacionit policor antikanabis të koduar “Bjeshkët e Nemuna”, u asgjësuan 194 bimë narkotike që u gjetën të kultivuara në 2 fshatra të bashkisë Tropojë. 

Vijon puna për kapjen e shtetasve të shpallur në kërkim, identifikimin dhe kapjen e shtetasve të tjerë të përfshirë në këtë veprimtari kriminale.
