Kavaja Police arrested 33-year-old Marsida Qatja. She was wanted and was sentenced to two years in prison for the criminal offense of "Adapting premises for drug use".
In 2019, she adapted her apartment for drug use, an environment in which, due to the consumption of narcotics, Dritan Haxhollit was executed by Bledar Toçi, the former head of internal security in Durrës prison.
It was initially reported that it was a crime of passion, where Marsida Qatja was suspected of having a double intimate relationship with both the perpetrator and the victim, while her husband was in prison in Germany.
However, the Prosecutor's Office has discovered that the victim and the perpetrator had previous conflicts that were not related to the 33-year-old. The Prosecution has found messages on the phone of both, where Dritan Haxholli threatened Toci, asking for money.
Haxholli was a user of narcotics and the Prosecution has doubts that there may have been conflicts between the two regarding drugs. On Haxholli's phone, the Prosecution found communications and threats with other people in Kavaja and businessmen, from whom he demanded money.
