The General Director of the State Police, Skënder Hita , held a meeting in Shkodra with the structures of the Local Police Directorate of this region.

During the meeting, Hita appeared dissatisfied with the results of the Shkodra Police, the director of which he himself led for a period of approximately four months during 2021.

According to what was revealed during the meeting, the concerns of the head of the State Police are related to several areas, starting from the level of detection of murders and criminality, to the activity of criminal groups, the cultivation and trafficking of cannabis.

The focus of the discussions also included road traffic issues and measures to guarantee safety in schools, on the eve of the start of the new school year.

Hita has asked local structures to increase their effectiveness and produce more concrete results in cracking down on criminal groups and solving criminal cases, especially murders. Another point where work intensification has been requested is related to the prevention and crackdown on drug cultivation.

The meeting took place on the same day that Shkodra was shocked by the murder of 24-year-old Ylber Luli. For this event, the Police arrested Andri Vulaj, suspected of being the perpetrator of the crime.

The meeting of the General Director of the State Police with local structures in Shkodra lasted more than an hour.

The meeting was part of a series of meetings that Hita is holding in different regions of the country with local leaders and Police structures, where the focus is on analyzing the work, defining tasks, and requesting higher results in preventing and combating crime.
