Coach Yakin makes the roster official

Xherdan Shaqiri, Granit Xhaka and Ardon Jashari will be the 3 Albanians who will wear Switzerland's jersey at Euro 2024 in Germany.

Coach Murat Yakin submitted the final list this Friday and the last one left out was the other Albanian Andi Zeqiri.

Despite the good performances in these training days, coach Yakin has decided to continue in Germany with other attackers.

"Andy made the decision difficult for us. Recently, he has performed very well. The training days showed that the competition is very strong even in the attacking phase, for this reason priority was given to other players", said the coach.

Switzerland will play the first match on June 15 against Hungary. They are in Group A along with hosts Germany and Scotland.
