In the extra minutes of the Italy-Albania match, the game was stopped for a few moments, because an Albanian fan entered the field.
The security forces managed to catch him in the middle of the field, after the slide, returning him to the fans' section.
Kosovar media report that the fan who entered the playing field is Sami Rexhepi from Skenderaj. He lives in Dusseldorf, Germany and told the media the reason why he took that action.
'I made a bet with my son. This was the reason', Rexhepi is reported to have said.
After entering the field, Rexhepi greeted some of the national football players.
Meanwhile, the security of the stadium immediately intervened. Only after he "dribbled" some of them and slipped, the Albanian fan could be neutralized.
Then he left the stadium where, as he says, he himself paid a heavy price for entering the field.
According to Rexhepi, the authorities have penalized him by banning him from entering German stadiums in the future.
The introduction of the Albanian fan into the field caused many reactions among those present on the stadium steps, while the central direction did not broadcast the epic moment.
