It's now official, Chelsea have sacked manager Liam Rosenior following their 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Tuesday night.

This result marked the club's fifth consecutive Premier League defeat without scoring a single goal, in what was the London Blues' worst run in the last 114 years.

The decision comes just three and a half months after Rosenior was appointed as Enzo Maresca's successor with a long-term contract, valid until 2032.

Through an official statement, Chelsea thanked the coach for the integrity and professionalism shown, but stressed that recent results and performances were below the required standards.

The club stated that this was not an easy decision, but necessary to try to save the season.
