A soccer fan flew more than 12,000 kilometers from China to watch his favorite team play, only for the game to be abandoned after just a few minutes.
Teacher Andy Bebbington and other Bolton fans watched just nine minutes of the League One game in Cambridge.
Heavy rain caused the pitch to flood, and the game was then called off.
"It was a bit of a nightmare to be honest," the fan told the BBC.
One fan, originally from Kearsley, tweeted: "Gotta laugh or I'll cry."
"I've been teaching English in China for the past five years, this time of year is Chinese New Year, so we get two weeks off," he said.
"I looked at the fixture list and it came up and I thought Cambridge in February what could go wrong, it was just my luck," he added.
Bebbington, who is based in the city of Suzhou, 30 minutes away from Shanghai, decided to look on the bright side because "worse things could happen".
