Sport in mourning/ Albanian football legend passes away

Albanian football legend Teodor Vaso has passed away. Vaso passed away at the age of 83.

The hero of the Albanian representative will be remembered for many special episodes in his life, but the most special was in the 1967 match where he played for 30 minutes with a dead and swollen leg against the Federal Republic of Germany.

One of the 5 best athletes of 1968 in the composition of the Albanian national football team for the extraordinary result in the 0-0 draw with the world champion, the German RF.

On 17.12.1967, he was named among the 11 best of Albanian football, in the 55th anniversary of our football, published in the newspaper. He was also named Korça's footballer of the century in 1998 and was also decorated with a gold medal for outstanding merit by the Ministry of Education and Sports.
