Kylian Mbappe writes another page in the history books. According to what the French media reports, the 24-year-old has been rewarded in the hierarchy of the "turkeys" national team, as he will wear the captain's armband in the next duels.
Referring to the sports daily "L'Equipe", the PSG striker has been chosen to inherit this post, Hugo Lloris. The goalkeeper was withdrawn from the national team after the tournament in Qatar, with coach Didier Deschamps trusting the future of the French national team.
Mbappe has played in 66 matches, playing a key role in the World Cup runners-up. The striker led the team to the title in Russia 2018, while in Qatar he contributed with 8 goals and 2 assists.
But according to reports from the French media, this choice of coach Didier Deschamps has left quite a few people surprised.
The person most disappointed by this decision is Antoine Griezmann, who should have inherited Hugo Lloris' armband due to his length in the national team.
Griezmann boasts 117 appearances for Les Bleus (5th all-time) and since 31 August 2017 he has not missed a single game.
Even from the reports from France, it is emphasized that the Atletico Madrid player, because of this decision, but also because of an argument that he is said to have had with Mbappe, may close with the National Team and leave the group.
