Unprecedented! The taekwondo coach from Kosovo hits the 8-year-old girl after

A taekwondo coach from Kosovo slapped an eight-year-old competitor from Kosovo after the latter's defeat at the European Taekwondo Championship in Tirana.

The footage has been published on social networks where it can be seen that after the loss in the finals by the Serbian Taekwondo player Nina Savic, the competitor from Kosovo is attacked by her coach.

The media have reported that the coach has been suspended for six months.

The Coalition of NGOs for the Protection of Children - KOMF has also seen the physical attack by the eight-year-old as disturbing.

"Violence has no justification, it should never be used as a means of discipline, as it damages the emotional well-being and psychological development of children, creating fear and insecurity instead of respect and self-confidence. Likewise, KOMF emphasizes that sports federations and clubs must have special regulations and procedures for child protection in order to create an internal system that prevents and reacts to violations of children's rights. We have a collective responsibility to ensure that children develop in a safe and caring environment, where their basic rights are protected", says the reaction made on Facebook.

Coach Valmir Fetiu told the media in Kosovo that the contestant is his daughter and that he tried to calm her down after the loss.
