Duke: We want to go beyond the group
Armand Duka

Albania qualified for the second time in the finals of a European and after the representation in France in 2016 awaits the adventure in Germany next year. The president of the AFL, Armand Duka, in an interview for Tuttomercatoweb, says that the goal will be to pass the group.

Armand Duka:  Now comes the difficult part, we will meet strong teams. On paper we arrive as one of the weakest teams, but we want to go beyond the group. I don't know where we will reach, but we have the qualities to go further. And the party is already over, we are preparing for Germany. The coach is hungry. I don't want to meet Italy, they are a very strong team even though they haven't achieved good results recently.

The duke praised the work of the technical staff who had a few months to achieve this historic result.

Armand Duka:  Sacrifice and programmed work are needed, because otherwise nothing is achieved. Of course, the coach was the director, but I also have to speak well of Doriva, who played in Italy. He is an expert who has helped us a lot. Together with Zabaleta, he built a very compact group.

Albania will now wait for the draw on December 2 to know the opponents in the Euro 2024 finals.

A group that is difficult to predict, seeing that there are strong teams in all pots.
