"Cristiano Ronaldo was my idol", Haaland: He did something incredible
Haaland and Ronaldo

Erling Haaland has spoken about his childhood on Norwegian television TV2.no.

The Manchester City striker has always had clear ideas: he wanted to become a footballer and to do so he was inspired by his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Now recognized as one of the best footballers in the world, the Norwegian has analyzed the playing style of the "younger" CR7, that of Manchester United and Real Madrid.

The striker admitted that he was amazed by the movements made by Cristiano Ronaldo in the attacking area. Beyond striking, it was these that allowed him to be so unpredictable.

"It's a bit like a duel with defenders. It is important to choose the perfect moment to make that move and the pass must be good.

If you don't have a good assist, you will never be able to score with a header. Then it's about the movements that don't stand out inside the penalty area, but manage to deceive the defenders.

Was there anyone other than Cristiano Ronaldo? Yes, but he was always my idol. He was above all. It's incredible how he developed his way of playing. You can see it in the transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid."
