Bayern Munich has started the year with another test of strength that leaves little room for discussion regarding the championship title in this edition of the Bundesliga.

The Bavarians won 8-1 against Wolfsburg in the match of week 16 of the championship and have deepened their escape to the top of the classification where they seem elusive even though half of the season has not passed.

Wolfsburg held out only in the first half, with Pejcinovic replying to Fischer's own goal and DIAZ's goal to keep the game open. But the second half was a different story, with Oliseh (2) and Jenz's own goal, Guerreiro, Kane and Goretzka taking the tally to an impressive 8-1 victory.

The success moves Bayern to 11 points clear of second-place Borussia Dortmund, practically ending any discussion of the fight for the championship title.
