The Democratic Party's Primary process seems to have sparked chaos and discontent among Democrats, two of whom have so far publicly declared their departure from this process, which at the same time means losing the opportunity to run as MPs in the May 11 elections.

After Helidon Bushati, Indrit Hoxha has also announced his withdrawal from the primary race. The DP's Secretary for Immigration and Diaspora, however, says that he supports the DP towards victory, while adding that he is withdrawing due to a new commitment.

Indrit Hoxha's reaction:

Dear members, supporters and staunch democrats,

After deep reflection and with the utmost responsibility to you and our shared mission, I have decided not to participate in the primary race for parliamentary candidates. This is not a withdrawal, but a new commitment to strengthen the Democratic Party and to support every effort that leads us to victory.

Today, more than ever, Albania needs real change. After years of tedious and corrupt misgovernance, it is time for a political rotation that will restore Albanians' hope and trust in institutions. This change will not come by itself – it requires sacrifice, dedication, and commitment from every democrat and every citizen who loves this country.

There is no longer room for passive attitudes. It is our duty to do everything necessary with will and determination to bring about change. Every effort, every commitment, every sacrifice is a step towards an Albania free from corruption and injustice.

I remain committed, alongside you, on this journey. I invite every democrat to stand up, to engage, and to contribute to the triumph of the Democratic Party and to a brighter future for our country.

The time for change is now. Political rotation is not just an option – it is a necessity for Albania.
