Chief Socialist Edi Rama gathered today in the pink headquarters the political leaders of the districts. The meeting started around 09:00 and lasted 1 hour. The meeting comes within the framework of the work for the re-energization of the Socialist Party.

After the meeting, Rama told the media that it is necessary for the SP to strengthen and open up even further. 

"We hold regular meetings because we are in a very important and deep process like never before for the re-energization of all the basic cells of the SP organization, organizations throughout the territory and for the continuation of the opening of the party, for new memberships. We have set the target of 50,000 new members by the June congress, I believe that with what we have seen and achieved so far, it is an achievable target," said Rama. 

The head of the government said that the strategic objective of the SP is to advance the vision for Albania 2030, stressing that the main thing is for our country to be ready to be a member of the EU.

"It is necessary to convey the message to the entire community of Albanians who have voted for the SP or not, that it is necessary to strengthen the SP, because it is the only political force in Albania that has a governing alternative, that also has real responsibility for the progress of the process of membership. Our strategic objective is for Albania 2030 to climb to that peak without going back, and the crown of this peak is undoubtedly the readiness to be a member of the EU", said Rama.
