The preliminary hearing against Ilir Beqaj for the "Sterilization" file has been postponed until June 3rd.

The former Minister of Health asked for more time to familiarize himself with the voluminous acts.

We remind you that SPAK has closed the investigations and sent the file to the Court, where together with Beqaj, he will clarify his position, after he was questioned for weeks in the Special Prosecutor's Office.

The former minister is accused of the criminal offense of abuse of office, while he will be in the dock together with the former deputy, Klodian Rrjepaj and the businessman Ilir Rrapaj who received the contract.

The investigations for the sterilization concession were carried out by prosecutors Edvin Kondili and Ened Nakuçi, while SPAK accuses of violations worth 100 million euros.

The prosecution says that in granting the concession, the accused did not respect the law and abused their duty. Among the findings found by SPAK are the procedures followed for the winner and the non-fulfillment of the conditions provided for in the contract.
