The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has also commented on the dismissal of two Democratic councilors in the municipality of Durrës, who were also supporters of Ervin Salianj.
In a press conference, he said that they worked for the Socialist Party and that according to him, ' anyone who works for the opponent has left the party themselves '.
Berisha cast doubt that the councilors only went once every 6 months to collect their salaries, but according to him, this meant that they had betrayed their voters.
Berisha : If you work for SP candidates, you have taken a stance that has put you outside the party. If you are on the council and go once every 6 months to get that money, you betray and kick those who voted for you. If you are on the council and use your power to pave the way or gain personal favors, it is not because the citizens of Durrës voted for you, but because they voted for you to protect their interests, not to solve personal issues.
