Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a conference with EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos, joked that she made her first visit to our country on a rainy day.
But, Rama emphasized, " I explained to him that the rain is a blessing and I am convinced that it will be a good omen for the progress of the new growth plan and for the disbursement of additional funds for Albania ."
Edi Rama : Today is a day we would have liked to have had sunshine, but we couldn't make it, so we are expecting her on her first visit in the rain.
I explained to him that the rain is a blessing and I am convinced that it will be a good omen for the progress of the new growth plan and for the disbursement of additional funds for Albania.
Honorable Commissioner, it is a pleasure to welcome you in Tirana and from the beginning, we in the region have enthusiastically awaited your election because you are both EU, but also ours, being from a country in the region that has excelled in its path and is a proud member of the EU, Slovenia.
However, having blood closer to us than to Brussels, I hope, I am convinced even though you will not accept this.
We meet at a moment when we are proud of what we have done, we do not take your support as something given once and for all, but that which must be earned every day, is the support of the EU, which we are aware that we must deserve because we want to be part of it, we know that there is no other alternative.
