The head of the socialist parliamentary group Bledi Çuçi says that there is no need to develop a motion with a debate in the Assembly, regarding the issue of the cocaine laboratory in Xibraka, where the opposition has been accusing for several days that Olsi Rama, the brother of the prime minister, was also involved. Edi Rama.
Çuçi said that this issue has been exhausted several times already.
"We have no way to set a date for the motion today, when we think that this motion should not be developed at all as these are over-exhausted issues. From the way the request was presented, there is no room for a motion at all. The opposition's request is related to issues that have been judged by the judiciary even with final decisions, that have been exhausted in parliamentary debates and parliamentary investigative committees. We cannot sit down today and talk about the date of a motion", declared Çuçi.
On the other hand, the democratic MP Gazment Bardhi said that the opposition will not back down to present a date. He added that the debate is about the phenomenon of cultivating or selling narcotics in the country, and not specifically about "Xibraka".
"They refused to set a date for the parliamentary debate regarding the phenomenon of selling or cultivating narcotics. The motion is based on the report that places Albania at the top of the international transport transit countries. But when it comes to drugs, they think of Olsi Rama, and when it comes to Olsi Rama, they are ready to dissolve the Parliament of Albania.
No doubt we will stick to the motion we have prepared. The motion is mandatory within 30 days from the moment of presentation, I express my regret for the colleagues who violate the rules of the Assembly every day, due to the involvement of the Prime Minister's people in criminal affairs", stated Bardhi.
