Rama: I have not spoken with Kurt after the proposal of the Association's draft statute, we are different countries

Prime Minister Edi Rama has shown that he has not consulted with the Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti about the proposal of the draft statute for the Association with Germany and France.

In an interview for the Nationale newspaper , Rama said that he did not communicate with Kurt after sending the draft to Berlin and Paris. He has also shown the reasons why Kosovo was not consulted on this matter in advance. According to him, the Albanians of Kosovo and Albania are brothers, but they have different states.

" No. I want to be very fair and in relation to my partners. This is not a conspiracy of Albanians that we are doing together and then I will lead it. This is a contribution of Albania as another country. We are brothers, but we have two different countries. Albania has its own state, Kosovo has its own state ," said Rama.

He has informed that the Albanian state is in line with the USA and the EU regarding the recent situation in the north.

" Albania in this case is completely in line with the USA and the EU, with France and Germany, with the attitude of what the Kosovo authorities are doing. Albania cannot contribute to this process, except by being very ethical in relation to its allies and its own position. We cannot play a role of throwing the stone and hiding our hand. In the sense that we consult these things before and then act as if we did not consult ", said Rama.

Among other things, Rama has denied the possibility of war in Kosovo. He said that Serbia cannot go to war with the USA.

" This is the last thing I imagine. There's a saying never say never, but I mean never. For the fact that who will fight in Kosovo? Will Serbia fight with America? Kosovo is America. For the information of those who have forgotten, Kosovo is not yet completely sovereign as long as there is an entire foreign army in its territory, and as long as it is not recognized internationally by everyone. So what will Serbia do, attack America? ", said Rama.

The initiative of the prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama, to send a draft statute for the Association to the most powerful countries in Europe has provoked different reactions in Kosovo. Some of the political parties have opposed and some have supported the action of the Albanian Prime Minister. The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has not yet declared on this issue.

While the government has been silent on this topic, the ruling party's deputies have opposed such a thing.

The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, said that this draft statute had to come to Kosovo first.

“Ne nuk kemi si ta shohim, për arsye se nuk e kemi parë atë draftstatut. Siç ka thënë vet kryeministri Rama, nuk është konsultuar. Unë mendoj që specifikat dhe rrethanat e këtij procesi në Kosovë, janë të tilla që duhet pasur në konsideratë, krejt historinë e këtij procesi dhe natyrisht rëndësinë e kuptimit të rrjedhës përpara bazuar në parime”, ka thënë Kusari-Lila për medie.

Shumë më të ashpër ndaj Ramës kanë qenë disa deputetë tjerë të VV-së. Nismën e Ramës e ka kundërshtuar edhe Lidhja Demokratike e Kosovës. Kryetari i kësaj partie, Lumir Abdixhiku, ka thënë se asnjë propozim për Asociacion i cili nuk e ka vulën e institucioneve të Kosovës nuk duhet të vlej.

“Atë që duhet ta them është që as një propozim që nuk ka autorësi të institucioneve të Kosovës nuk ka vlerë për Kosovën”, ka thënë Abdixhiku në emisionin “Pressing”. Sipas tij, ende nuk duhet motivet e propozimit të Ramës.

“Ne nuk e dim motivin e Shqipërisë zyrtare pse ka dalë me një qëndrim të tillë”, tha fillimisht Abdixhiku në Pressing të T7.

Krejt tjetër mendimin për veprimin e Ramës ka shprehur partia më e madhe opozitare. Nënkryetari i Kuvendit të Kosovës nga radhët e PDK-së, Enver Hoxhaj, nuk e ka kundërshtuar një gjë të tillë. Ai ka thënë se përpjekja e kryeministrit shqiptar ka për qëllim të ndihmojë Kosovën.

“Unë mendoj që Rama me propozimin e tij po bënë përpjeke që t’i mbush interesat e shteti të Kosovës në një kohë që është kritike dhe assesi që t’i dëmtoj këto interesa. Frika ime është që mënyra se si Kurti është duke menaxhuar situatën në veri të vendit ne mund të lëvizim drejtë një protektorati të plotë i cili si produkt mund të ketë një autonomi territoriale”, ka thënë Hoxhaj.

As shefi i Grupit Parlamentar të AAK-së, Besnik Tahiri, nuk e ka kundështuar nismën e Ramës.

" Our position is very simple. First, in principle something that comes from the Albanian president - he had a statement about the situation in the north - something that comes from the mother country should not necessarily be judged badly. On the other hand, the duties of the Government are the duties of the country, which without any doubt should be exercised by the Government, and our Government is not exercising them.
