Rama: AI platform for building houses to be presented in Tirana in October,
Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama also spoke about a platform that will be presented in Tirana in October, which, according to him, will help citizens build houses more easily. Rama said that through this platform, an architectural and engineering sketch can be created, which will reduce the work of architects by 95%.

"I don't know how familiar you are, but about 70% of the buildings in the world are built by non-architects. We're not the only ones who have embraced this innovation. Of course, most of the world has architects. We know how difficult it is for most people to hire an architect to build their house. That's why most houses are built this way.

For many reasons, they can even pose a risk, as we saw when the earthquake hit us. An Albanian who was with us on a beautiful day, when we met with representatives of the start-up sector, has invented his own AI platform with vectors and algorithms, which we will have the privilege of launching here in Tirana. He is in Vienna with his team, this platform will be on the market to build for everyone.

I've seen it, it's magical. And you want to build a house, give me the indications. If you can make a small amateur sketch, that's ok, but you can write that I want to build a house, that is related to the tradition of northern houses, for example. This platform builds your house. This is not simple. After it makes your house, you can say that I can make some changes. It even makes you the engineering sketch. So you don't have to build traditionally, you don't have to go to an expensive office for architects, but you can simply have this platform and get a permit from the municipality with this plan. In October it will be presented in Tirana and will be on the market and in the hands of everyone.

How and in what way can people overcome AI that helps people. There are people who do not have access to architecture, engineers, governments make it difficult because they have to guarantee that the house must be safe. With this platform we will do promotion and people can build their houses in a very simple way. They can build buildings. This is crazy. It eliminates 95% of the work that people do in their architectural practice. It will make architects not so expensive, and there is a lot that AI can do for democratization,” said Rama.
