Chief socialist Edi Rama held a meeting in Devoll where he asked for support for the socialist candidate for this municipality, Eduart Duron.

During his speech, Rama said that the candidate of the coalition "Bashke Fitomje", led by Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta, was decided only to create a conflict between the municipality and the government.

"It's enough for me who brings him here as a bridegroom, so that I can tell them not to cause trouble in the municipality, do not cause trouble in the city, do not cause trouble in the community, because it's a little possible, but very certain, they don't bring him here for work, but they bring it for a fight. They bring it to turn the municipality into a fortress of war with the government, they bring it with the funds we give, some they take home, some they take to pay for buses and send people to Tirana, to shout there Rama is leaving, they have been shouting for 10 years, I am only coming, I am not leaving," said Rama.

He further emphasized that "even here I remember a period when you had a mayor who was one of those who only turned back, we tried to support him, we did something with him, but very difficult, a big waste of time, a big waste of energy, strange people. Please don't make the mistake of wasting another 4 years, because there is no time to waste. We really just have to go forward."
