The "Work and Live Where Your Heart Is" job fair opened its doors today in Athens, Greece.
Prime Minister Edi Rama, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, and Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Goxhja, before entering the hall where this fair is being organized, were accompanied by hundreds of citizens who had come out to greet and welcome them.
Minister Balluku stated that this is the area where all Albanian companies that have come to make their offers for hospitality-tourism, agriculture, construction, and infrastructure are located.
"Rinas Airport has come to present the offers they have. Each of them is equipped with direct contracts that can be signed and all the offers regarding the various work facilities," said Balluku.
Prime Minister Rama personally stopped at each stand, where he communicated with company representatives and highlighted the opportunities for various positions offered with salaries starting at 1 thousand euros per month, increasing depending on qualifications and professional experience.
During discussions with companies and the offers they presented, Rama said that salaries and state taxes are better and more competitive in Albania than in Greece.
The Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Gonxha, spoke about the offers for tourism, the central government, and the main investment projects in tourism services.
On the other hand, Minister Kumbaro focused on "all tourism offers where over 40 participants from the tourism, hospitality, territory and coastal sectors have brought contracts, offers and salary presentations directly to this fair.
"The interest is very high for some of the companies," said Kumbaro.
Entrepreneur Luan Bregasi was present at this fair, where he spoke, in addition to the offers in tourism, about the salaries offered by his business. "A chef receives three thousand euros per month, a deputy chef 1500 euros net, a masseur 1200 euros plus 25% of the turnover. There are plenty of jobs and offers. You have created very good opportunities for us and for the climate for doing business", he said.
The Musaj olive oil company and representatives of this company shared with Prime Minister Rama their employment offers and salaries in this sector.
"We have come with a concrete offer for labor, we need it. We pay them very well, with very good working conditions. We could process more olive products, but due to the lack of labor, that olive remained unharvested and came out at a higher cost," said the entrepreneur.
"In agriculture, workers are not paid 700-800 euros. Vineyard pruners who are residents of Konispoli in Igoumenitsa were paid 30-35 euros per day, while here they receive 45 euros per day and specialists are not paid with their labor, but with their brains," said another investor.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, shared another success story, as she called the Albanian medicinal plant company from Gradishti, which participated in a fair in Germany a few days ago, where it received numerous requests from Albanians there.
"It is one of the companies that we are proud of and that has received the first requests for employment here at the fair," said Denaj.
"We need qualified people in the field of agro-agricultural processing and management for added value to our products. Salaries are 1500-2000 euros per month and the conditions are the same," the representative of the medicinal plant company claimed.
At the fair with the theme "Work and live where your heart is", in Technopolis, Athens, over 100 Albanian entities, investment leaders in many fields, will be present, offering employment opportunities for Albanians living in Greece.
The fair offers diaspora compatriots who want to return and work in their homeland employment opportunities, as well as information on investment opportunities.
The Job Fair, the first of its kind in Greece, opens a new door of communication with the Albanian diaspora for Albania 2030.
All job opportunities and informational materials will also be accessible online, during the Job Fair, to enable any interested person to participate in this opportunity.
