Democratic Party MP, Albana Vokshi, has reacted after the tense situation that occurred the day before in the Assembly, where the chairman of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, used offensive language towards her, saying: " I have the number 0900 for you, Albana ."

"Verbal and psychological violence has no place in Parliament. I did not feel insulted by what was said yesterday by the leader of your parliamentary group, because people with actions like his shame the Parliament, but I felt hurt by the way the Speaker of the Assembly managed the situation. In my opinion, she managed it in a shameful way and the lack of distancing was also noticeable from the socialist women deputies for the sexist language that was used in the rostrum", said Vokshi during the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
She added that she believes the attack on her was a political strategy to hit the opposition and intimidate its female MPs.
"I am convinced that the targeting was political and not random. It was a deliberate attack to hit the opposition and the opposition's women MPs," she stressed.
In her reaction, Vokshi also commented on the apology demanded by Taulant Balla, describing it as untrue and formal. According to her, the inclusion of the European Union in Balla's statement was also an attempt to justify the situation.
The Democratic MP also stated that over the years she has faced pressure, threats and investigations, including referrals to SPAK for her and her family.
"They have threatened and blackmailed me and my colleagues. They have sent me and my family to SPAK. They recently expelled me for three months, removing my right to representation. Why? Because I requested the lifting of Belinda Balluku's immunity. This is the model of women that you give to citizens," declared Vokshi.
