The Democratic Party has reacted to the statements of the Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, that "the Albanian government and Edi Rama had ensured that everything regarding projects in protected areas was in accordance with the rules."

The DP writes that this statement by Kos is based on false information provided by Edi Rama and further deepens the crisis.

"Regarding the Declaration of the Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, Ms. Marta Kos, on the serious crisis that our country is going through, the Democratic Party expresses concern and emphasizes that it is based on false information presented by its friend Edi, and not on the existing reality in the country.

"That statement ignores the serious crisis that has gripped Albania and serves Edi Rama and not the solution to the crisis, on the contrary it exacerbates and deepens it even more. The Democratic Party fully supports the 5 just demands of the protesters as conditions for a peaceful resolution of the crisis ," the DP statement says.
