After the 'Constitutional' and SPAK/ILD rejects the "Xhafaj"

Three institutions of justice have refused to participate in the commission "For Deepening the Reforms for Good Governance, Rule of Law, and Anticorruption for Albania 2030 in the European Union", in other words the "Xhafaj" commission.

First it was the Constitutional Court which refused to participate, then SPAK and ILD.

In a reaction it is said that the Special Prosecutors discussed the importance of cooperation with the Assembly for improving the rule of law and the fight against corruption and organized crime, always respecting the principle of separation and balancing of powers.

The decision was taken unanimously and according to SPAK, the participation of an expert in this Commission was not considered necessary.

SPAK has assessed that "our institution has already fulfilled its legal obligations for making public the problems encountered during the exercise of its functions, including the need for relevant legal changes".
