Former Democratic Party MP, Ervin Salianji, will begin hearings with citizens on Wednesday.
It is learned that Salijanj's first meeting will be in the city of Durrës.
These meetings come after the meeting held in a cafe between Salianji and other exponents of the DP, some of whom were also the most voted in the elections, among them Ilir Alimehmeti.
Sali Berisha used the conversation with the citizens to minimize the effect of the coffee that came out of the blue headquarters. "I have met or called all the primary candidates. Salianji himself has been to this office several times, Ilir Alimehmeti even more often. No one is excluded. The problem has been our total commitment to protecting the vote."
But reactions from the grassroots showed that the waters are far from calm. A video that went viral online showed activist Anila Aliaj in a debate with DP leaders, denouncing the disregard of local branches. The first measure taken was to remove her from the party's communications group.
"The lady who spoke to Flamur Noka has not left the party and no one can expel anyone for expressing their opinion. To my knowledge, she has not been expelled. There is no decision to expel her and there cannot be one," said Berisha.
We recall that Salianji was only released from Fier prison a few months ago, where he was serving a one-year sentence for defamation of socialist officials. Salianji himself has described his one-year prison sentence as a political attack.
