The deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, spoke in an interview with the journalist Sidorela Gjoni regarding the SPAK's request to the Assembly for the appointment of the measure of arrest against the former prime minister Berisha.
Asked if he would vote for SPAK's request in the Assembly, Tabaku responded by saying that DP does not have a battle with SPAK and should vote for every decision that this institution brings to parliament.
However, Tabaku stressed that it is not good news for Albanians or for the Democratic Party that today we have a former prime minister and former president facing justice.
"I don't agree with these ways, I told Mr. Badhi, I told my colleagues, we also discussed with each other. They think that the only way to attract attention is this, the only way to say that 8 investigative commissions in a year and a half have been overthrown, the only way to say that the Speaker of the Assembly does not know the head of the parliamentary group, the only way to show that the entire parliamentary space is occupied. What should the opposition do when, in the middle of a parliamentary crisis, the regulations are changed unilaterally. This is the tyranny of the majority, let us usurp the space that the opposition had in the parliament. In 2013, one of the conditions of integration was that the regulations of the parliament are changed consensually, the law on investigative commissions consensually, as well as the Electoral Code", said Tabaku.
Tabaku also stopped at the opposition action in the parliament, where for several weeks the deputies of the Democratic Party have been blocking the proceedings of the plenary session through chaos and the lighting of cigarette lighters.
Tabaku said that he does not agree with these ways and he has expressed such a position to his colleagues as well as to the head of the parliamentary group Gazmend Bardhi.
However, Tabaku emphasized that he understands the reaction of the deputies at a time when the majority is implementing the tyranny of the majority by blocking any opposition space in the parliament. She added that the amendment of the regulation, as well as the law on parliamentary committees, should be carried out by consensus between the parties.

Asked with whom he will run in the 2025 elections, Berisha's or Basha's group, Tabaku answered:
"Tabaku has been saying for 2 years that DP should run together. Let's look at what makes us better, the pieces or a unified offer, and I won't get tired of saying that PD should be one in the 2025 elections. I can't say we're good when we're not good. But we cannot predict the future. There is only one parliamentary group that meets, I don't know if there are meetings of two groups. I cannot judge my colleagues. My request has been that we should have a unique offer in Parliament. I supported Bardhi as the leader of the group because that was the majority of the group".
Regarding the idea of Argita Berisha's candidacy to take the leadership of the Democratic Party, Tabaku said that there are many other prominent figures who have grown up in the Democratic Party.
