Deputy Pandeli Majko has called on his colleagues from the opposition to vote for the changes in the New Electoral Code.

"If the measures were not taken, we risked that the 2025 elections would be disputed in their legality. I have the best words for the 2 negotiators, DP and SP. They negotiated with transparency. I understand that there are different syndromes that have do with the will of the party leaders. Here someone confuses the cake with the pie. It has not brought us to a difficult democratic situation in Albania.

We don't have to blame the system. That's why, my friends, the common rules and implementation of the JJK has brought us here today. We alone do not approve these constitutional changes.

Who thinks he will enter with open lists, vote against. There is no need to tell us that Rama will become king, we have to implement the decisions of the CJK. Nothing was done under pressure. Don't be too scared of the safe lists .'- said Majko at the end of his speech.
