The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, was harsh in the discussions of the Conference of Mayors meeting, as the draft budget was discussed.

While the DP has requested a debate in Parliament on determining the living wage, Bardhi said that the majority has brought a budget that aims to steal.

While discussing this issue, Bardhi reminded his majority colleagues that with just one signature, the government's number two, Belinda Balluku, stole 50 million euros.

'We were told that it was the "biggest budget", but this is a budget for theft, it does not go to the citizens. It is a budget like the one we have seen: 50 million euros were stolen and no one is talking. With a signature, Belinda Balluku received 50 million euros, and with this budget other figures are being prepared to be stolen,' the democratic legislator stressed.

Bardhi demanded from the chairman of the Conference of Mayors, Niko Peleshi, respect the rights of the opposition, otherwise he warned of abandoning the meeting.

'The opposition cannot be a facade here. You are looking for a facade opposition. And this, Speaker, is your issue. You must take measures to respect the rights of the opposition, otherwise the opposition has nothing to do here. We are not a facade,' Bardhi said.

It does not happen in any democratic country that the agenda of the Assembly is set 100% by the government. There are only government initiatives on the agenda and no MP initiatives.
