Enkelejd Alibeaj made a statement to the media after the meeting of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party. He confirmed that PD will be registered in the May 14 elections, despite the procedures requested by the CEC.

Alibeaj stated that by the 20th the process of approving the candidacies will be completed and that the PD will follow all the procedures and the documentation will be submitted to the CEC.

Alibeaj repeated once again that the hand will continue to be extended to Berisha's group, but he said that the same should happen from the other side.

Alibeaj : This was the next meeting of the Presidency of the parliamentary group. They will be more frequent. Discussions and decisions are focused on the organizational aspect of DP related to and in function of the election campaign. Until the 20th, the process of approving candidacies will be completed. In addition, the issues of organization were discussed, the relevant tasks to be taken up in terms of the campaign with the organization and refreshing of our structures were decided. We are aware of the not so healthy situation we have been through.

Now that the campaign has started and DP's position on focusing on the May 14 elections has been approved, it is returning to the routine of operation. The decision of the CEC was also discussed. DP will follow all procedures and all the documentation filed with the CEC is in full compliance with the legislation and I inform you that DP will be registered, will participate in the elections and will be focused on May 14.

The DP is not mine, it is not anyone's by name, but the DP belongs to all the democrats who have made their sacrifice to that logo and value system that the DP carries. DP includes all those, even those who think differently. The position we have taken has been made clear for a long time and for many optics and perspectives. Albania is going to the elections, the elections are not for the political parties, they are for the citizens. Especially in this very difficult economic situation, the absence of the rule of law, mass depopulation, the primary interest is the interest of the citizens. PD has this interest and in function of this interest will do everything to unite the dissatisfied Albanians so that on May 14 we can join forces and face this regime, whether in the central government, but also in the local government.

What I want to communicate is that on the 20th there will be frequent meetings of the presidency and the parliamentary group to approve DP candidacies, either for advisers or advisers. The hand has been extended before, even before the court's decision, even after the court's decision and at this time.
