The opposition protest, which started at the Prime Minister's office and ended at the Tirana City Hall, ended at 10:30 p.m.
Molotov cocktails were thrown in both buildings, while in the City Hall the Molotov "rain" was also accompanied by clashes with law enforcement.
The protestors tried to break through the encirclement of the officers, but without being able to achieve their goal.
After that, the leaders of the protest decided to withdraw to return to the headquarters of the Democratic Party.
From the blue headquarters, Flamur Noka declared after the opposition protest that this was "the grandest and most historic protest, at a temperature of 40 degrees".
"All those who protested showed that free Albanians do not submit. Today hundreds of thousands of Albanians protested against the narco-regime. The message was that Albania cannot be the only country in Europe without fair and free elections. The narco regime must listen to the voice of the citizens, today the majority of Albanians spoke", declared Noka.
"We are determined in our battle, the release of the opposition leader and the technical government for social peace. As we achieved every goal, we will also achieve victory in this battle. We have shown that we will fight and win. The opposition is standing, has been and will be", added Noka.
