Democratic MP Gazment Bardhi says that the Constitutional Court's decision to legitimize the immigrants' agreement with Italy was not a surprise.
According to him, the Constitutional Court lost the opportunity to do justice to a case that violates human rights and harms the national interest.
"No surprise from "Vali Bizhgat at the Constitutional Court"! The denial of transparency and, above all, the avoidance of the opportunity for an advisory opinion from the ECHR are a clear indication that the CJC lost the opportunity to do justice in this matter from the start.
The agreement with Italy violates security and public interest, as well as flagrantly violates one's rights and international conventions in this field, as the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Council of Europe and prestigious international organizations have expressed!", says Bardhi.
The Constitutional Court has today given the decision regarding the agreement with Italy for immigrants, voting 5-4 in favor of this agreement, which provides for the stay of immigrants from Africa in Albania for a period of time.
