The National Assembly has approved the statutory changes of the DP.

According to the Re-establishment Commission, the Commanding Chairman of the Democratic Party, Enkelejd Alibeaj, is no longer known as the chairman of the group, thus the vacancy for the head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party is announced. Without wasting time, the Assembly decided on May 22 to hold elections for the new chairman of the party.

"With the proposal of the Re-establishment Commission, the Assembly decided to set May 22 as the day when the election for the chairman of the Democratic Party will take place", said Belind Këlliçi, chairman of the Works Management Commission.

According to the chairman of the working committee in the Assembly of December 11, Belind Kelliçi, the novelty of the changes is the inclusion with dedicated quotas of diaspora and emigration in the National Council of PD.

Immediately after the approval of the amendments to the statute until the end of the election of the Presidency, the executive direction of the party is done by the Provisional Re-establishment Commission. "The mandate of the Temporary Re-establishment Commission ends when the DPA Presidency is elected", it is stated in the amendment of the statute.
