Democratic Party Assembly, delegates arrive at the Palace of Congresses (VIDEO)

The first delegates to the Democratic Party's National Assembly, the highest decision-making forum, arrive.

Erisa Bajaziti, who is one of the members of the Democratic Party from the diaspora, will deliver the opening speech. Afterwards, the technical secretariat will be constituted, which will deal with all the proceedings of the Assembly.

According to tradition, there will be a speech by President Sali Berisha, as well as a resolution read by Democratic Party spokesperson Floriana Garo, which was approved by the National Council that does not recognize the farce of May 11.

Important international guests are also expected to participate in the event.

This year's Assembly is centered on the concept of "Renewal", a message related to the process of reforming and modernizing the party.

According to the agenda, Gazment Bardhi will present the statutory changes previously approved by the DP Presidency.

Two new platforms will also be introduced during the proceedings. One is related to the party's digitalization process, while the other aims to engage and involve the diaspora more in the political activity of the Democrats.

Finally, the delegates will vote on the new composition of the National Council, choosing among candidates proposed by the president, the leadership, the party branches, and the most voted members of the National Council.
