In a meeting held on Saturday morning at the headquarters, "Women in Action for Albania - Today, or never", Sali Berisha stated that the Democratic Party is today in a battle for life and death, in a battle for its existence .

"A few days ago we celebrated the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the party. Now we must speak openly. This party, which overturned and divided eras and brought Albanians the brightest era in their entire history, has an extraordinary legacy. But if as people who will stick to the truths, we must admit that the era that brought PD has ended. It no longer exists in its principles of freedom apart from the market, that era no longer exists in Albania" , said Berisha.

Furthermore, he said that "Albania today is in a more powerful monism than the one we overthrew".

"Today, a more powerful monism has been established in Albania, I tell you with full responsibility, than the one we overthrew in 1990-1991. Today, the political freedoms of the opposition people are absolutely de facto annihilated. Today, any form of state that waits for freedoms is an internal or external invasion. And I can tell you that in history there are few nations that have experienced more invasions than us. But none of these holidays have cleansed 35 percent of the Albanian nation in 9 years. Never and never. You are a mother, a sister, a daughter, a grandmother, you are a major contributor to the era that has closed. You can quite rightly ask the question: yes, you say that the era brought about by PD has ended. What is left for us democrats? We will always stick to the truth. For us democrats, only two things remain. It remains our legacy, I said again, we brought about the brightest era in the history of this nation. But, where we are today, we are facing a first or second decision of our lives. First, for the young girls who in the 1990s were not born yet, second for the rest of us, who in 1990 stood up and overthrew the dictatorship. So, to overthrow this dictatorship", said Sali Berisha.

"Edi Rama is as clear as the sun that he can no longer stay in power. We must be real. Are there elections in Putin's Russia? Done, he has now announced his candidacy. Are there elections in Belarus? They are done. Are elections held in Myanmar? They are done. They are made in Venezuela. But the opposition does not win. No one thinks that Putin can win elections. No one believes that the military junta can be elected. It would be a big self-deception if we think that we can defeat Edi Rama by election. No! Never", Berisha continued.

He emphasized that everything will be done and every means of civil disobedience will be used to overthrow Edi Rama.

"It would be absurd if we think that on the day of voting we will grab weapons to kill, to annihilate criminals who do not allow voting. It would be unrealistic if we think that on voting day we will block the bags of money used to buy votes. We cannot do these things, but what we can do is the overthrow of Edi Rama. We will use every means of civil disobedience to overthrow Edi Rama. So I said a real turning point, a turning point in every man's decision, deciding to fight a dictatorship is a divine decision in its importance. But deciding to fight a dictatorship means defending the truth, ready to make sacrifices, doing everything in its service. This is what this second time requires for us, for the overthrow of the second dictatorship.

This requires each of you to do everything with all your circle, with all your acquaintances, because we have the most powerful weapon. Our most powerful weapon is the citizens, they are the right, the truth. We must do everything, but we must lead by our own example. Can dictatorships resist us? Absolutely never", said Berisha.
