The President of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic, in a joint conference with the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, said that the countries of the European Union are being dishonest with Albania and Kosovo.

He said that he is the only non-Albanian who is asking for Kosovo to be recognized as a state, since according to him, Europe does not mention it. According to Milanovic, even though 11 years have passed and Albania has moved forward, Europe still seems to have other priorities.

"In 20 years I have witnessed the development of Albania in all aspects. Unfortunately, this progress has not been accompanied by appropriate institutional reactions from the European Union. I want to say something that I said for the first time in 2012, when Sali Berisha was prime minister, but the circumstances were similar. At that time, Albania had been a member of NATO for 3 years. At that time, Serbia and Montenegro had advanced, but nothing was happening for Albania. This absurdity which was evident then is evident even now.
