The Electoral College will review the Democratic Party's appeal regarding the results of the May 11 elections in Tirana and Durrës today. At 10:30, Tirana will be reviewed, and at 11:00, the appeal for Durrës will be reviewed.
The DP sent it to the College after the KAS earlier rejected the request for invalidity and repeat elections, while the recount in these districts did not produce any change in mandates.
In Tirana, the Socialist Party won 19 seats, while the DP won 13 seats, the Opportunity Party won 2, and 1 seat each for Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet, Lëvizja Bashkë, and PSD. Meanwhile, in Durrës, the PS won 8 seats and 6 seats went to the DP.
The Electoral College's decision paves the way for the CEC to finally certify the results in these districts and distribute mandates to elected deputies on May 11. In the meantime, two districts remain to be reviewed, Fier and Elbasan, which the DP has appealed to the College, but a date for reviewing the appeal has not yet been set.
