Yesterday, the general secretary of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, first held a meeting with the PD parliamentary group and then with the college of presidents to discuss the future of the party where two groups held opposing positions.

The Parliamentary Group expressed its position not to rush the elections for the president of the DP and if they happen, they should first be held at the level of sections, group sections and heads of branches and then for the chairman. However, a completely different position was taken by the College of Speakers, which, apparently initiated by Lulzim Basha, who is trying to return to the head of the DP, asked Gaz Bardhi that the elections for the new speaker be held by July 15, with the argument that membership required.

Today at 17:00 the Presidency of the Democratic Party will meet, which is expected to decide on the request of the College of Presidents and they will vote on which of the ideas they will follow.
